that you never have played before, what would it be? Personally, I used to play the guitar, electric guitar years ago. I wasn't an excellent guitarist but I wasn't bad either. But I think I would pick the piano or the drums. Although they are completely different from one another, after the guitar, they are my favorites. The drums have all the physical, loudness and rhythmical experience. And the piano has the classy touch, soul, relaxing atmosphere. It's great for composing song & lyrics. What would it be for you?

I would choose the guitar as well, electric, acoustic, whatever. I think I'm one of the few people that don't know how to play any instrument at all.

Hey Rtlsnk! Thanks for the reply. You would be surprise! I know LOTS of people who don't play an instrument at all. Or even don't know the difference between rock, pop, jazz ; ). To play a musical instrument you have to have time, money and patience. It's never too late. And there is always music to enjoy!

That's for sure, never late to start. The only instrument I recall playing but just because it was required, the flute in middle school, part of music class. Were we skilled playing Mary Had a Little Lamb !! LOL

Hi lilaclady, thanks for your reply. Yes, I know what you mean! I love the violin...it has an amazing sound..it could be sooo romantic, energetic, depressing and poetic. Some people believe they are similar to the guitars...although they are very different from an other in a LOTS of aspects. Acoustic guitar, uh? Well...I have played it and it's a very nice variation of the electric one. There are sooo many types of acoustic guitars to pick from..you just have to make a decision and find the sound that suits you best! T/K

I already play the piano, thanks to my mom insisting on it when I was a kid! Hmmmm....I'd have to go with the cello. I think it's one of the most beautiful instruments ever created. Don't know if I'd actually be very good at it but I'd love to try! One thing to consider about it though is the fact that it's a HUGE instrument and very hard to transport! lol. Maybe I'd learn the saxophone instead!

Yeah I couldn't picture myself playing a cello! It is similar (respecting the differences) as the bass so I guess that's why I don't like it. And it's very big!! Saxophone sounds sexy! lol Plus it's a beautiful instrument! It will take a pair of good lungs...and with my allergies...I couldn't do three notes together! lol T/K

I would choose the guitar too. I have always wanted to learn how to play guitar. I owned guitar since I was a kid but I never bothered learning it which I do regret now. But yeah I'm learning guitar these days, by myself that is. It's tough but maybe I'll be able to play a song soon lol. After guitar, Piano is the instrument I love. I would want to learn it someday too. Gosh I don't know how to play any of the instruments fml

Hey thatgirl13, thanks for the reply. : ) That's really good that you have decided and started playing the guitar!! Nowadays, you can find LOTS of resources out there to help you to start from zero or improve what you have done so far, from books to the internet. You would be surprise what it does to your hearings senses to learn to play an instrument. It opens it! And also you start realizing who is really a good musician or band and who isn't. Who does it with feeling and who does copying other and mostly for fame and money. I personally, have had an strong passion for music since I was 8. Learning to play the guitar in my teen years really helped to develop an even more and intense passion for it today! t/k!
