The Caribbean is so rich in nature and culture

I spent six weeks learning and working in San Pedro, Belize. To say, it was life changing, is an understatement. I think we are naturally led down a well-set and already divinely-designed pathway. In retrospect, my love for people, humanity and nature was only strengthened there. Do you have some experiences that have only strengthened who you really are but maybe at the time felt life-altering or miraculous?

As a Zen practitioner, I find that who we really are can be found within and not so much in the outer world. There are beautiful places on Earth, and the Carribean is one such place, but we need to feel the beauty of such places within our own experiences. In Zen meditation (zazen) this can be realized sitting facing a blank wall, and a beautiful scene can be a distraction! _Derek

I am a believer in the powers of meditation and prayer. I think that the ultimate power and peace comes from within. I also believe that this is the power and the connection that we get organically from God if we can just sit and be still......

No, not really so far, but maybe I will in the future? Your experience sounds lovely, I have to say!

It was a wonderful part of my life's journey. I can't wait to experience more. I am truly amazed by nature.....It definitely has a calming effect on me. The oceans, seas, waterfalls, sunrises and sunsets are truly remarkable. I look forward to bumping into more along my path.....
