Pls recommend a Safer but wider Rear Tyre for my Hero honda Splendor Plus...

Currently my hero honda splendor rear tyre/wheel is Dunlop Zebra Y-Plus 2.75-18 42P. Its a very thin one almost the size of the front one. Actually the problem in my location is the road here are very slippery as the most times the roads are covered with sands or is Wet due to rain.. Because my tyre is slim, it tend to skid and get wobble most of times. So i have planned to Change my rear tyre to a broader one alike Bajaj Pulsar. But many advised that, if i put broader tyre to Splendor, you will have a drastic drop in mileage as well as Bike's pick up. So, can some one advice or recommend me a good broader tyre (is not required as wider as pulsar)which wont affect mileage and pick up of my bike and because of which my bike wont skid and wobble.. My max driving speed is 85km/hr (i drive a little faster as i drive in a hurry most of times) and driving distance vary between 6kms to around 75kms daily (it depends).
