Afridi says that Sachin will not make his 100th century in this WC........

well Afridi in a press conference told that Sachin will not be able to make his 100th international century in this worldcup.
He is also trying to say that they will try to stop sachin from taking the century and pak will win the match.
but i felt that Afridi is challenging Sachin Tendulkar.
I think its not god for him and the littile master will give reply to this with his bat.

i read the times of india today there was column of the great pakistan captain Imran Khan he said that "indian team should have sleeping pills the night before they play Pakistan in the semis." You now what afridi is already in a day dreaming or say day sleeping state of mind so i guess imran khan may need to handover a pack of sleeping pills to pakistan team that would be a better idea. so that they sleep the entire match against india.

Imran is living in the dark ages, but the he is a retired cricketer and hisnot so successful political career will not allow him to be updated about what is happening in world cricket and particularly India.India's domination of Australia seems complete and Imran seems to have missed it. Pakistan is a talented side but there is nothing new about their methods and clearly they have out performed themselves in this world cup.It is Pakistan which will have sleepless nights and not the Indians.
India is no longer a timid team.There were three examples
1. The way Indians started against SA and went on to 267/1 in less than 40 overs.The collapse thereafter brought the Indians down but at that stage a total of 375 looked possible.Later in the match India fought back again with their limited bowling to almost choke SA but Dhoni handed the ball to Nehra instead of Bhajji and we lost the match.If we had won that the team would have peaked early so the loss was a blessing in disguise.
2.Australia was never allowed to get away even when their best batsman scored a century.Through out the innings they could not accelerate which is astonishing for an Australian team. When The Indians batted they were ruthless but Sehwag was clearly struggling with his shouder injury and was not at his free stroking best.
Raina came in and dispelled all doubts by playing positive cricket. Yuvi was clearly in control and it looks as if even Bhajji and Zhir were mentally prepared to come in and finish the task, if required. That was depth and Ponting realized that, that is why he said that India would prevail against the Pakistan side.Raina can do what Yusuf was doing.Dhoni at no.6 can now play freely now that Raina has announced his form and temperament.
3.The tie was another instance when a marauding English side was almost brought down. Munaf gave away 12 or 13 runs in the last over where as in hind sight Dhoni should have given that last over to a slow bowler.The incusion of Ashwin has given Dhoni that additional option. It was also a pleasant surprise to see Sachin bowl a couple of overs against Australia.
If Sehwag is fit to bowl the Indian bowling will suddenly look far better. Maybe Dhoni has at least one more surprise up his sleeve.
So far as Afridi is concerned he has bowled his heart out but the best bowler is Ajmal who has been held back for some reason. I think he will play in the semi final but let us see if their think tank thinks that way.
If India bats first they can run up a big total in the region of 350+ and if they chase I don't think they will be chasing more than 260. It will be interesting. From Pakistan's side they need individual brilliance where as India plays brilliantly as a team.

Afridi is so scared that he does not know what he is talking. He knows when he is beaten in the semis the crazy fans in Pakistan will throw stones back home.So he is making these famous last words. He has so quickly forgotten that his board was reluctant to appoint him skipper and in the last minute they had to because otherwise the team would have further split. He is desperate to exploit his good luck but when he comes up against the Indians he will realize that they are no2. in the odi ranking not for nothing.These guys are in for a hammering and that is why they are issuing such pathetic statements.Sachin may not have been thinking about a ton but now he will take the ton and the win too, the others can relax.

Well worded! He thinks he wanted to put mental pressure of making such statement against Sachin. Even Sachin would have not aimed for it. This shows that they are worried so much. And so, world is watching Afridi, let him not worry of sachin and its better to face at the ground rather than making back commentry

I really do not care if Sachin scores a century or not if India wins the match. I would rather love it to be Sachin's 100th century in a world cup final at Wankhade stadium. Think how fitting a farewell it would be for Sachin in his final world cup match.

Its alright. If people want to make comment they can. And what Afridi has said is not totally incorrect for what all what he said is based on inference and hypothesis. This is very possible that Sachin migt not be able to make it to his 100th international hundred.
First thing, there are only two matches left, one is against themselves and if they are defeated against the wiener of the other semi finalist.
Pakistan surely would try not to let Sachin make the hundred even if it is at the cost of their defeat. Secondly, naturally he might not be able to. And the same things apply in the final match too.
So Afridi has expressed his concern lest Sachin should make another hundred in this WC.

afridi will be lucky to pick a wicket and who will stop the indians from scoring, he has gone crazy with fear. Earlier he was saying that they don't want to meet India in the QF and now suddenly all of Pakistan wants to play India.The entire Pakistan team is nervous because they had no idea that they will come this far and now they are greedy for the world cup.

i m not saying this sachin is only one hope. you can see virender sehwag will show them good way. Get out the world cup. The world cup final we will play.

hey guys...afridi has not told those words to a simple man.it is towards our god of cricket,little master sachin tendulkar,who has sacrificied almost his half of the life time for indian cricket.for this statement, not only sachin has to reply.all dhoni's men have to fight to elliminate them.those words should be the last words of afridi about sachin and india.COME ON INDIA...THIS WORLD CUP BELONGS TO OUR SACHIN.PLS FIGHT HARD TO GET HIM WC.BILLION HEARTS PRAYERS IS WITH U.

Whether Sachin will be able to make century or not India is going to thrash Pakistan . This is beyond doubt. Indian team is more balanced than Pakistan and is going to have advantage of playing in home conditions.

Well what Afridi is doing is nothing new , its very obvious that they will try to stop Sachin from making century thats why the players are playing cricket for isn't it ,that is trying to stop opposition from winning.But then you can be very aggressive with words sitting in an AC room giving an interview and you can say whatever you want but it really does not matter in field what you said in some interview. So it should not be taken seriously according to me.Afridi is himself under pressure so by saying all those things you mentioned he is just trying to eradicate the pressure from himself and nothing else.

Afridi perhaps is trying to emulate Ricky Ponting who said exactly the same words. All 99 international centuries Sachin has got so far is through the power of his bat and not through courtesy of opposite captains or bowlers. While It is true that it not possible for any player, however great he may be , to definitely say that he can score a century in any particular match, It is equally true that no captain can authentically say that he can stop a player, who already has got to his credit 99 centuries, from scoring another one. By his statement Afridi must have made Tendulkar all the more determined to score one. We have seen time and again Tendulkar keeps in mind any challenge from the opposite player and gives him handful without uttering a word. He only lets his bat talk.

That is not a surprising statement, we can expect these like things from the pakistan players, they are now really want to disturb the minds of indian players, but i am sure their tactics wont work here.

hi friends now a days this thing is happening before every game the want to play mind game before field.afridi also doing same thing but he don't know what mistake doing he is???????? he want that sachin play aggressive to reply his statement. but sachin play in his cool way he doesn't bother what the are saying.
