I was going to give up Mylot. But I just couldn't stay away. There was a few reasons why I was going to quit after I made $10 for this month but nothing serious. It was just mainly that I felt as if I was spending too much time talking and not enough time doing things. But in the end 3 weeks was all I could stand and here I am again. I bailed on mylot for longer periods of time but this time I have to admit I am addicted to it. I can't say why, Mylot just seems like its better laid out for debates and such. I am thinking of picking up a new persona this time and just being really obnoxious and seeing if I can get my rating down to one or two stars just for kicks.
Have you ever tried to kick the blog/mylot habit if so how long did you stay away?

I was offline for over a year. First, I was unemployed for three months, lost my internet for non payment (they continued to charge me after I was disconnected)my final bill was over $200. Then I lost my computer in a thunderstorm due to lightening hitting the outside phone jack. Fried my computer.
After I was able to get back online by paying for internet and new computer, I immediately came back to MyLot.
I enjoy the debate aspect of it too.
Is being addicted to MyLot bad? I do manage to go to work, shop for groceries and babysit my grandkids in between. I've even started a garden and take a morning walk to loose weight. I guess addicted is ok, if I can manage other things too.

I didn't intentionally kick the habit but there was a time where I didn't post anything at all but just visit the site everyday and read discussions. I was too busy chatting and didn't have enough time to sound in here. But then I realized that I missed everything in MyLot. It has a great community, cool friends to discuss anything under the sun.
Like you, I too am addicted to MyLot and I just can't stay away from it. I'm not sure how long will I be staying here but as ling as I have a notebook, iPad and Internet connection, I'll always visit MyLot.

Hey there EvanHunter how are you doing stranger? I thought I was getting addicted and I have been away for a while now. But I couldn't keep myself away. Guess my opinions are starting to get all flustered inside me and I need mylot to let it all out. LOL
I think today is the first day I have posted in about a year maybe longer. I also have been busy with life and haven't had much time to sit and chit chat on the internet like I have had before in the past. But I got almost a full week before things start to get hectic again.

Hi. EvanHunter. I have tried to, but I have not been successful at doing so. Whenever I try to stay away from myLot, I always tend to come back when I feel the need to. If I try to quit myLot in an invisible way, I will be back. I just can't give up myLot so easily. Four months ago when I did not have any Internet connection, I was very miserable. I stayed reading books everyday from the library. I would check up to 10 books at a time. It was just so crazy... I complained constantly to my husband. I was so bored and unhappy. I also did not have a TV at home either. I was so glad when my husband got Internet in February. I saw him using the Internet and I did not even know that he had an connection... He told me a while back that he was going to get some kind of Internet connection in here. Now I see it, and it is very hard for me to just get off of the Internet.

It is not surprising to see people threatening to leave mylot or disappeared from mylot temporarily only to come back with full of vigor. Definitely putting up controversial, challenging discussions will wake the sleepy town in mylot. Going up and down in our stars is part of that thrilling game we play here and only those with boldness and intellect can face the challenge of seeing their star slipping down overnight with a smile.

I am always here even if I don't post anything because I cannot just walk away from mylot. It is special to my heart. This is where I started to learn a lot of things online especially work at home programs. You get the latest buzz online in here. Mylot is fun and I sometimes find myself laughing while mylotting... LOL!
The longest that I didn't post I think was 2 months.
I used to be so crazy-active commenting and creating discussions but due to some busy days and personal matters that I need to attend to, I took a break as in break from online activity including facebook,mail,chat,etc... I hope I can be a lot more active now. I miss being here.

I can't stay away from mylot, it is one of favorite money making website, and I just get addicted to it. I have to spend at least an hour in it, and trying to make some decent money and contribution to it. I have to keep on making money from day to day. It is my commitment to mylot.

I haven't tried to break away yet. It's tough when you enjoy something so much. The time I spend on myLot is "my time." All my other time is either business or based on others. I like having a place.
