Our Strong Refuge

Like a raging battlefield, the world we live in is full of danger. Tragedies and disasters strike like a devastating air raid, while difficulties and afflictions abound as though they were hidden landmines waiting to explode at the slightest contact. Thus, we find ourselves in constant search of a refuge - a shelter where we can hide from the perils that surround us, a haven where we can feel safe. While it is true that our loved ones, friends, or those who are in a position of power can provide us with comfort and sense of security, we cannot expect them to always be around to help us. Like us, they are also human beings who have their own frailties and limitations. They, too, need to run somewhere or to someone else for protection and support. Amidst the troubles prevalent in the world , is there anyone whom we can trust to truly keep us safe?
