Posting new discussions or replying to other's discussion more often?

Do you post new discussions more than you answer other's discussions or is it the other way around? What's the fastest way to earn here in mylot?

i'm a newbie and i tend to respond more in other's discussions. it has nothing to do with my earning strategy, i guess it's easier for me to give my opinion on things rather than to come up with a topic that will be responded on. i guess i sucked on that at the rate i'm going (my topics does not earn much response, i guess they seem to be pretty boring :). i'm sorry i won't be of help when it comes to answering your other question. i'd like to hear though what others would say on it. :)

Rapuncille could it be that your topics remain just that - topics? Do you go and comment on the responses and turn them into discussions? You do know that we do not earn for the responses that others posts?

i do respond to the responses/comments, perhaps, they're just not appealing to others. my topics on the average gets 2 comments each. statistically it ain't that encouraging. i also suspect that perhaps, this slow rate may be due to the time i posted it (time difference factor). anyway, it's just for a start. sooner or later i'll get a hang of this and probably will come up with comment worthy topics. :) i will not be discouraged, not this early at least! :)

There is no 'fast' way to earn here. There is a correct way to use myLot and those who follow it are happy with their earnings. MyLot tell us how to increase our earnings here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14 and once you realise that myLot is for discussions and not for asking questions and posting answers, you will see a difference in your earnings.

Hello kharen, You earn for what you type, so when a discussion becomes a real discussion you earn more with your response and comments. I have generally more fun with discussions started by friends than in mines, but personally I think it is more easy to comment my own discussions than to respond to discussions started by other members, because I have already thought at my subject and I can comment faster. But it maybe different for you.

I answer others' discussions more often than posting new ones--not because I think I will earn more that way, but because I like reading other people's topics. Plus, sometimes I can't think of anything new to start a discussion about! I do find that reading and answering others' discussions can often help me get over temporary writers' block, so i guess in that sense it helps me earn more--here and on other sites, too.

I reply most of the time because I don't have a lot of idea, what to post here.

There really is no fast way to earn in here, as if you participate in discussions, you will earn. I have started some discussions, but I do prefer to respond rather than start new discussions, as I find it hard to come up with a good topic that others will be willing to respond to. when it comes to responding, I can do that quite well, so that is why I basically do that more than anything else in here. I have found what works for me, and there might be others that prefer to start discussions instead of responding. I feel to each his own, as you do what is best for you. Take care, and happy mylotting.
