first movie is the best

Like most series the first movie in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, in my opinion, is the best one. I actually think if you never watched the 2nd or 3rd in the trilogy it would not matter, everything is about the first movie. There is great friendship, the kings and their horses that are searching for Frodo are absolutely horrifying but enthralling and just about everything else in the movie is "wow"! Does anyone else think the first blows the other two out of the water?

i think every series of the lord of the rings are made a stand alone movie, what i mean is that you can understand the two tower and the return of the king even without watching the previous episode, but this one is only for my opinion

i don't really think in my opinion my favorite is the TWO TOWER, which is the second episode.... but whatever is the best film in the trilogy i may say all three series are good and worth watching for.

It's true.
The first one is always better than its sequel.
Like Harry Potter, the stars, soundtrack and everything. Maybe just because U R excited about it, because U never knew it before.
But On the other hand, the Pirates of Caribbean,the first one is nice, 2nd one sucks, but the 3rd one is a kind of good.
