Criminal police/protectors – what punishment would you suggest for them.

It is seen that the custodial death is increasing also crimes done by the police and other public protectors like Central Bureau Investigations, Central Audit Departments, Ministers etc are also increasing. As they are considered by the public for safety and safeguarding the law, it seen that at times they become law breakers. Recently a minor girl was raped by two police men, few custodial deaths, people suicide after they are released from police custody, so on goes the crimes of police. What punishment do you suggest for such criminals.

That's terrible. I can't even express how much that upsets me. I think that authority figures should actually be judged and punished more strict than the average individual. They have taken a job that is supposed to be for a citizen's protection. That fact should be taken very seriously and if they use that position to abuse people, they should face stiffer penalities in my opinion.
