Thinking about a touchy subject.

This is a very touchy subject. But I will attempt it only because I feel it is very important. I might be blasted for being intolerant, but I will only say that I AM INTOLERANT against oppression and hatred, and against anyone who may try to take away my freedom and rights as a human being. I will say I AM INTOLERANT of any thought process that keeps me quiet and submissive, unable to think for myself. I recently watched a video on three concepts of Islam that most westeners may not know. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgsrnmzxEUY Now being the open minded person that I am I went looking for the other side of the issue. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbxCzsOq7bA I will submit my disagreements with this video in the order in which the speaker presents them. First off, he calls all who have questions about this issue, bigots. He quotes I Samuel 15:3 as an example of commanding barbarity in the Bible. But I would ask, does western civilization adhere to this as a law? Are you with me? There is not a court in western civilization that calls for the killing of infants and children if you disagree with the parents. But there is a court in Islamic countries that call for the killing of sons and daughters if they disagree with their parents RIGHT NOW in 2012. He says Allah is the Arabic word for God and therefore the same as the God westeners for the most part, worship. I disagree. Here is why. According to the Encyclopedia of Religion, Allah corresponded to the Babylonian god Baal, and Arabs knew of him long before Mohammed worshipped him as the supreme God. Before Islam the Arabs recognized many gods and goddesses, each tribe had their own deity. There were also nature deities. Allah was the god of the local Quarish tribe, which was Mohammed's tribe before he invented Islam to lead his people out of their polytheism. Allah was then known as the Moon God, who had 3 daughters who were viewed as intercessors for the people into Allah. Their names were Al-at, Al-uzza, and Al-Manat, which were three goddesses; the first two daughters of Allah had names which were feminine forms of Allah. Hubal was the chief God of the Kaaba among the other 360 deities. Hubal was the chief God of the Kaaba among the other 360 deities. Hubal was a statue likeness of a man whose body was made of red precious stones whose arms were made of gold. (Reference Islam George Braswell Jr.) He says the Koran is the same as the Bible in it's teachings on regulating social life. I know of no western civilization that allows for beheading the unbeliever, cutting off the hands of theifs, or killling a son or daughter for dishonoring the family. He says the idea of blasphemy originates in the Bible but again, I know of no civil government in the west that kills those who say the LORD's name in vain. Remember, that was then, and this is now. All his comparisons involve what Judaism or Christianity did in the past. He repeatedly says that theocracies are not the norm in Muslim world. That is quickly changing. He says that the Koran teaches that there shall be no imposing of religion. Then why the honor killings? He makes a good point in the end of comparing the Islamaphobe trend with the anti semitism. As most Muslim countries call out for the destruction of the country of Israel, I am sitting here wondering how he can make this comparison. So his attempt at saying Islamaphobia and anti semitism are the same to me ring hollow in my ears. One last video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQsFY7n1XQ4

Okay, I am going to be truthful..For one I don't have time to look at videos because I am behind on my schoolwork and two, I have seen enough of these videos, both for and against Islam to know where I stand. I am with you, maybe for different reasons, but since I know people who live near the Islamic culture, they are not to be trusted, even if they swear on their god, because according to their religion, as long as it is for Allah, they can lie, cheat, steal, kill, and maim in his name. Of course these same people also have problems with the very religious people of Judaism, one was where a teenage boy had opened this Purim basket only to have it blow up. At first they thought it was Islamic terrorism, but turned out it was not..What's strange is, I don't know where these religious Jews get the idea that using bombs like their enemy is something their G♥d approves of..

yes, that one. I will trust you that you indeed did read it. But I will question the why's and the who's involved. Second, even though I trust you that you did read it, I do not nesessarily trust the source it may have come from as there is a lot of things said about Israel, that I know are lies and deceptions.

That's ok Japrin, if you don't care to discuss it that's fine. I just want you to know, that I am not against people who are Muslim, if that is the case. Ok?
