Have any of you experienced trying to sell some of your stuff online only to get blocked by the respective manufacturer? Well I have... Here's my story: Early last year my company bought several Kaspersky 2010 anti virus (with 3 user license each) to replace our older version which have expired. By the end of it, we realized that we have over purchased by 5 copies. We decided to keep them for perhaps future PC purchases which we can install it on. Unfortunately for the rest of last year we did not make any new PC purchases and the 5 copies were left forgotten in the office store room. Come this year, we purchase another copies of Kaspersky 2011 to replace the used up 2010 version. Thankfully we did not over purchase it this time. While clearing up the store last January I stumble on the forgotten 5 copies of 2010 anti-virus. My CEO decided to give it to me. I'm grateful for it but seriously, I have no use for 5 copies of Kaspersky 2010 with 3 user license each. I've got 2 PCs and 1 laptop at home so 1 set of the anti virus is sufficient enough for me. Anyway, I did some searching around and noticed that the same version was being sold on EBAY.COM for USD 40-50 a piece. So, I tried to sell it on EBAY.COM. Not being desperate on money, I decided to sell it for USD 30.00 a piece. However, my post only lasted for 1 day. On the very next day I got an email from Ebay saying that my post was taken down because I try to sell a version which is not meant for the US. Mind you I am located in Malaysia. So, not giving it much thought I said "OK... I'll just sell it locally then". So I went to EBAY.COM.MY instead and posted my item... Same thing. The next day it was taken down. This time it only mentioned that I'm not allowed to sell it. How weird is that? So it got me thinking, the only reason I am not allowed to sell it is not because it's not a US version or anything, it's just that they do not want anyone to get it at a cheaper price. We are forced to buy it at it's original retail price even if there is somebody willing to part with it for dirt.

Did you read the fineprint or selling policy for eBay in your country? Maybe some other member maliciously reported your item and while eBay starts investigating they had to take it down. Email or ask customer service the detais of your issue, there has to be a proper answer for this, you would help out anbody else that may have had this same problem.

Yes I did read the fine prints and it said only things like not to sell pirated softwares and anything illegitimate. In my case it's an original softwares with the saran wrapping still intact.
