I am getting myself confused with the usage of in and at lately. :-) I am not sure whether to write: The girls are in the bedroom or The girls are at their bedroom. Which one is correct? What are the explanation?

Are you confused because people use "at" when saying things like "at the train station" or "at the mall"?

This site an explanation provides. The room counts as a space, it seems. So "in" is used. "At" would be used if you were saying "The girls are at home".
