Before everybody goes into panic mode

I am not stupid I do know those alarms. But lets face it humans can forget to do what is important. I didn't want to alarm anyone I wanted to get the news out so everyone could be prepared. I am one that likes to be prepared for what ever comes along. And by time those test go off it could be too late for those that aren't prepared. Wouldn't you want to know before something was going to happen instead of being caught off gaurd? Before radiation gets into the water system I would rather have wather already bottled up!

I can appreciate your concern free_man, but so far, all the news reports I have read said there are no health concerns. If...IF it were ever to reach hazardous levels, you can be sure the alarm (ever hear those 'This is a test. Just a test' buzzes?) would go off!

just found this online. it talks about radiation coming from japan in the rain. I live in CT and it says there is no radiation detected there thankfully. For other states, however, even though some radiation was detected it really isn't enough to cause health concerns. Living near a power plant or a factory is probably much worse for your health than this small amount of radiation coming here. I hope that no one does get sick though because you just never know.

Hi Danja and welcome to my lot. I wrote this to get people aware of the fact that they need to watch radiation levels in their states not trying to scare people I just think it is wise to beaware of things going on around us. It may not be large amounts of radiation to hurt an adult but it might make a baby sick. I heard it was found in the milk in some state. Don't know what state but it was found and it is something to think about it.

Hi. free_man. I heard about the radiation too in Japan or another country. I hope that it does not cause any trouble for the residents on the coastal shores. I don't live anywhere near this kind of area, and I hope that it does not come this way either. This is terrible and frightening as well!

Hi Azskull and welcome to my lot. No I don't think there is any danger it is just wise to be aware of things going on in the world. I hear the news and think of all the people things affect and want people to be aware of things they may not have heard.
