Equilibrium, The Fighter, True Grit, Gran Turino, The Gladiator, 300, Troy, Sin City, The Departed, Shutter Island, Cinderella Man. These are a few of my favorites. I am not sure if The Fighter, and True Grit are out on dvd yet, I went to the movies to see them and they were both very good.

Great movies depends on what type you are looking for. If you are looking for comedy i would suggest "hangover, due date, date night, pineapple express all recent and funny movies. i suggest you watch facing the giants ( a christian movie which is really good), fire proof (a christian movie which is about couple who nearly broke their marriage but in the end found out how they truly love each other) , the blind side (a true to life story), the 3 idiots (an indian movie which will make you laugh, love, cry). all these movies bring me to tears.
