Nuclear Bunker Bunk

If you want to survive the next earthquake, nuclear war, comet smash, biological attack, or other calamity, there's a luxury bunker that you can buy. You had better bring your bling. These babies aren't cheap, and the space would bankrupt the common bloke. ~ However, if you are a fancy pants exec, you can survive in comfort if not style. You can sleep in striped blanketed bunk beds while your fellow man fries. You can dine at community dining halls with round tables featuring lazy susans while people fester above your head. The seating is in a charming yellow and brown cube style. This place even comes with a jail for those residents who choose to bust the rules by not playing nice. ~ What is the cost of this lovely Vivos bunker for the well heeled survivor of all things catastrophic? You must pay a $5,000 (£3,100) deposit, which will have to be topped up to $25,000 (£15,600) before the stinky hits the fan on the surface of the Earth. ~ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1372289/Japan-earthquake-tsunami-Sales-doomsday-nuclear-bunkers-soars-1000.html nuclear war, bunkers, death, survival, life, people, $$, money, unappealing offers

Why not build your own for practically nothing? Lot of work, but it won't really cost you anything. Just dig out a large portion of earth, build an earthbag dome in the dug out area, then bury it, with a tunnel leading into it etc.... All in all, if you did it yourself, you could probably make a suitable one for less than 10,000 dollars.

hahaha. I'm going to stay where I am, thankyou for the offer. I plan on building a regular above ground earthbag home- I may or I may not build a couple of dome shelters undergound(If I did I would have the tunnel come up inside of my living room, for easy escape and what not. :D Earthbag domes above ground are even a good defense against certain damage- very tough stuff....

Be sure you don't hit any pipes or wires already there. Gas lines can get explosive, water mains can burst, and people can get very testy if you cut off their entertainment.

I live in a pretty remote area; I could easily dig out an acre in my yard and not hit a single line. :D

thats not to dear if you take in to account how much you would make in renting out the extra rooms. Pretty sure you could charge a bomb (Oooohhh!,bad pun!) and the lease would be for a minimum of 100 years. Now thats a nice return! I take it the price is so reasonable because there is not much of a view? I can see potential in that, although i suspect Gadaffi has already rented out the furtherest away corner.

I think the price is per bed.
