Congrats to the Young and the restless for running for 38 years. They started on the March 26th in 1973 there are a few videos up online like this one from starcam

Which shows the background of the sets and the crew that we never see. It is also fun how different some of the actors are to their characters.
For those of you who watch YR what is the first memory of the show and the character.
For me it has to be Jeanne Cooper as Katherine Chancellor and one of her never ending arguments with Jill. So for you what is the iconic scene from the show?

I remember way back when Jill was first fooling around with Phillip. I remember when Jill and her brothers were young. I used to watch it with my grandma when I was young. I also remember when Victor was first on the show and also when Nikki and Paul were first on the show. Over the years Jill and Katherine have had many ups and downs.

I think that the point they are at now is quite interesting. The thing is I do feel sorry for Jill, Colin is not what he seems to be so it will be painfull for her especially because of Cane who for a while there she thought was her son. I suspect Kathrine will help her they will get close again and then they will fight about something new and then a cease fire will be called and they will continue friends again until the next fight.

I don't remember the year..but many ago... I remember when Paul, Tracy, Lauren and Danny were in high school and the story line was Lauren always making fun of Tracy cause of her weight. Then Brad the pool buy showed up and he played her. Lauren is after Danny, Paul is after Lauren and Danny after his music. And Cricket - the teen model.
And David Hasselhoff was Dr Snapper Foster...Jill's brother. And back then, Casey..Nickis sister was a doctor and Niki was a striper.
Also remember parts of Jill with Phillip...Kathrines husband, and her pregnant with Phillip. And John later marrying Jill.

I remember Victor passing out in his office during an argument with Jack and Jack just walking out and sort of hitting Victor's hand on his way. Then Jack thought better of it and returned to call for help. One of my favorite actresses on the show who is half of the the popular couple Victoria and Billy, Amelia Heinle, also turned 38 this year, March 17.
