So many cell phones

I have seen so many adds like we all have for different types of cell phones and it seems like once everyone has one you start wanting the same one, And then just as you get one they come out with a better one? Doesn't it seem like this is happening all the time? What do you do do you go out and try and get the first one even if it means standing in long lines for hours? Just think about it then when you get it it does or doesn't do something and then you have to go through all that trouble after standing there for hours? Or do you just keep your old old school phone and say to the h...ll with it? I want a new phone but I would not stand in lines for hours I would rather wait, what about you?

I don't agree with a person having all the latest gadgets every time there is new in the market. For me,ONE cellphone is enough and it doesn't matter if it is the latest gadget I have as long as I can use it for calling and messaging, that is fine with me. I can save my money for more important uses in the future.

Material things doesn't matter to me at all especially nowadays that life is so hard and everyday is struggling to have a more decent life. We can really live simply if we can and give to others what we don't really need.

It sounds like we are lucky here. We've never had to stand in line for a cell phone. Probably because we live in a smaller community. We usually get whatever is on sale. So far I've never been disappointed with our choice. Yes, they don't always have the bells and whistles. But I don't really mind that. Happy cellphone hunting!

That is nice that you are in a small community where you don't have to deal with all the craziness of the lines of people, Thanks and have a great day.

I don't have to wait in-line with the crazies. But I still have to deal with them.

I can remeber the time when cell phones were first coming into their popularity. there were very few places to get them and there were so many regulations to get one too. Now cell phones can be purchased almost anywhere and so many manufacturers have joined the cell phone bandwagon. Now it is the easiest thing to own a cellphone. no wonder so many of us have them now as opposed to way back when.

i have a new cellphone but it is very cheap. i had my last cellphone for 2 years but it got broken because our helper accidentally dropped it in a basin of water. as long as i can text and make a call then it is okay. i am good with it already. i don't really need a very expensive phone with a camera nor wifi. i have my digital camera and net book already so i am okay with it already. as long as something i have is working, then i don't replace them with a new one. being practical

Why would you need the latest gadget? The technology evolves so rapidly that you can not be in trend all the time. I have a cell since 2005 and it still runs smoothly. I do not need to get a new phone just to be in trend with my friends. i see in buying a new phone a waste of money. Of course if the phone you have does not work properly than yes buy a new one. But i do not think that I need a latest phone. I could do very well with a classic cell phone without the video camera, instant messaging, internet, and all the other applications.

I have a very basic "old school" phone and I bought it a few months ago. My phone allows me to text and make calls if needed and I pay $20 every 90 days or sooner (if I use up my minutes). I'm mostly a SAHM I can't justify a phone bill for something that's internet capable and a substantial monthly bill when I'm home 90% of the time and I have access at home. Though I wish this replacement camera had a camera in it BUT they did not have a phone like my old one available anymore. No need to wait in line you know these phones and contracts have huge markups... wich is why they ask you to sign on for 2 yrs and get the latest and greatest for a few dollars. Break that latest and greatest phone and expect to pay hundreds for a replacement.

I just a basic cell phone, nothing special I am and have been with T mobile for a long time and I guess that is all I need I can use the computer at home like you It would be nice to have a new one but some of them are expensive and I would rather spend my money on other things like clothes and things we really need.

I am one who just had to have the latest gadgets, and very well known amongst my peers to do so as soon as they came out. I slowed down for the last two years because I absolutely love my Blackberry. My contract with my carrier is up and wouldn't you know it they finally came out with an iPhone. Something not known to my carrier in the past. So they are tempting me by offering me $100 credit towards a new one, but whoops they do not know that I know that the iphone 5 is coming out later this summer. So do I wait or go for it. lol.. I think I will wait, simply because I really don't need all the features like I use to and maybe I can upgrading now means I can't when the 5 comes out, also saving money is more of a priority these days.
