hi mylotters.. We tried our own recipe as chicken barbeque marinade this morning and well.. i guess its going to be a good one. hehe (hoping).. im really excited to cook the chicken tomorrow.. hopefully the taste would have sipped in the chicken meat and the taste would be good both on the chicken skin and under it. Do you guys have any chicken barbeque secret? I might be able to add it to my recipe just in time.. like putting more garlic so its more aromatic... hehe thank you !

Wow! That sounds delicious. I love barbecues and I remember putting in a little bit of soda to our marinade mixture. I don't know why but definitely tastes so good. If you like spicy stuff, adding some chili powder wouldn't hurt the recipe but then I wouldn't advice that unless every one who's going to eat your barbecues would want them to be a little spicy.

ahh really? wonder what soda you put? we have sprite or 7 ups. i heard that 7 up is used in cooking mussels as weell... hehe i guess i can try that too in my next chicken barbeque.. maybe that will be my sugar substitute!! =)

I always use a little garlic (not too much) to make it better. And a few drops of lemon juice too. I always put some chicken pieces at a barbecue as many people are afraid of red meat because of their cholesterol problems. In my country we never do hamburguers at a barbecue, but whole meat (red, chicken and even fih wrapped in foil).

my wife has different ways to marinate. but the one thing i love most if she puts onion and garlic powder, then marinade it over night then barbecue it the next day. i just like to see that the chicken has made juice from its own oil but you have to make sure you just put enough it does not taste good when the onion and garlic salt is plenty. but she also does it with the ready mix marinade.
