in our work, we have a couple of student trainees but they are due to graduate next year. =) Well i was talking to them and was asking them about their school and if they are excited to work for companies already.. as expected, all of them said yes and was actually excited not to work because of the "career" development... but they are excited to get a salary, a money of their own... hehee Well its graduation season again here in the Philippines... I am lucky and happy that I have work, never had problems of NOT having any work to earn for me and my family... Im worried about the people here in the country who still is not lucky to land a job.. and now the competition will be much tougher again with the thousands of new graduates to compete with again... In your place/country.. is landing a job maybe as hard as it is elsewhere in the world? Or maybe not?

Our school has a career program, so we have counselors whose sole job is to make sure we have a job after graduation. They help us organize resumes, find internships and job leads... stuff like that. Our program's counselor has reassured us our industry isn't too deeply impacted by the recession, but we still need to do what we can to make sure we're employed after graduation. I'm considering doing another internship with a small company I interned with when I was 13 and then hopefully getting an internship with a larger company once I've got that first internship back on my resume.

Im in india, and getting a decent job here is like a dream, getting a job might not be that hard but, to get a decent one you will probably have to do your masters after graduating, thats what im doing.. i hope i will be working with a leading management organization by next year.
