Saying Good By to a House?

I already told everyone in my discussion about all my books that I am moving. When I finally have all the books and other things in the van or container, I always try to get to be in the old house for a couple of minutes alone. I have to say good by to the rooms which contain memories and my happiness. I say thank you to the house or apartment that it provided a roof over my head. I thank the rooms for what they have done for me and if I can, I smudge them and wish them nice new inhabitants. This helps me to let go and make room for someone else in the house. How do you deal with moving and the emotion involved?

Saying goodbye to a place you lived for almost entire of your life is one of the toughest decision to make, wherein all of being you is acquired in that place but sometimes in order to move on to the next level of your life, think of the positive ways in that way you will overcome your emotion.

Hi lakshmi: I know how you feel. I have only needed to say goodbye to a house twice. In the first one I was too young so I don't remember how I felt. In the secon time I was 9 years old and I feel that I was saying goobye to a part of my life. All the experiences that were related to this house. I think that the way you say goodbye to a place that you used to call home is a really nice way to finish this episode and go on. Thanks for sharing your feelings with us. ALVARO

moving from one house to another is like saying goodbye to an old friend or a loved one. it will take some time for you to heal from your move. cut yourself some slack.
