Hi Friends, I am sure most of us know that India is the new world Cup Champion after defeating Sri Lanka in the CWC 2011 final match. It was very emotional moment for all the players and all the Indians as well. I saw Yuvraj and Bhajji crying after win and even I was not able to control my emotions. A lot had been said about Indian Cricket team, I heard some ex Austrila caption saying that "There is no fairy tell in Cricket", now is the time when the need to see them self in the mirror and say the same sentence again which is applicable to them in current scenario. We could not manage 2007 world cup final and had to take rest too early but this time we did it. Finally 28 years wait is over and I could witness this great event of winning a cricket world cup final. Thank You Indian team for this great gift to all the cricket fans.

It is shame for us that it took 28 years for us. But at the same time it was our misfortune that Australia were so strong and were full of champion players. They were almost unbeatable then. Thank GOD except Ponting all has retired which came to a huge faavor for us. Ponting is just a shadow of his past though he scored a century in his last cwc match against India. Atlast we did it. It was a fortunate for us because this format helped a lot. Winning just three match from quarter final to final will decide the champions. Plus India had to play all the matches in India expcept the first match against Bangladesh. Next world cup will be played in Australia and New Zealand in 2015. Which won't be a huge favor like this one. The one who could really challenged us were South Africa. Fortunately they were defeated by New Zealand in the quarter final and New Zealand were beaten by Sri lanka. We defeated Australia who is just the shadow now of their past. No more a champion. Then Pakistan who were really playing well throughout the tournament and overcame the final hurdle defeating the Sri lanka. At last we won. Better late than never.

I will not say that, if this is the case England should play the game at all. It's not shame but proud moment. Thanks for sharing.

I will remember this day for my whole life. This was the amazing moment. After 20 hours I am still with the hangover of the win, I feel I am walking on the moon! When I started to understand the cricket in my childhood once I asked my father that what was the feeling amongst your friends when India won the world cup in 1983 ? He replied we used to hear match on a radio with friends and did celebrated the victory. Now I also have the story for my kids !
