I was reading a lot of beautiful stories about people that adopted stray animals, some being rejected many times and I was really moved cause those stories were beautiful and it's so good to know that there are compassionated people in this world, that that this world is made of good people too. For me it's worthed dying saving a life, any life. Once I went very near death saving a dog, it wasn't scared at all and it's like the best day of my life, I really felt doing things like that to be doing something to change the world. For you what's worthed dying for?

Yeah there are still people who have the guts to do the right thing, adopting a dog or any animals who needs home is really worth admiring like an angel.

I was reading rescue stories, some really made me cry. There are people that when they are going to adopt they go all the way for miles and choose a stray dog, and yet adult, and the story is beautiful because most of them has been rejected so many times! Thank you.

I imagine that at some point you do many things that you didn´t think you could do. But I don´t think there´s anything worth dyingfor, but a lot of things worth livingfor. My mother´s instintc made me pick up my babies during earthquakes when they were small. I did not think: I acted. I can rationalise that later but I bet a mother dog would do something like that too. I like animals, but I would NEVER die for one.

So it's worthed dying for the kids, that's beautiful to. I probably have a mission with them, I could save many cute furry friends, or in other life I tortured them or something. What I feel for the elderly, for the animals is really strong.

There are some very beautiful stories of compassion and bravery. It is a breath of fresh air to see or hear about people that go to extrodinary measures to save a life. I think that I would be most selfless with my children. I would put myself in front of a train to make sure they were safe. I think that I would also be selfless if it were the elderly or a child...animals hold a soft spot in my heart too. I have never had to put myself in the line of fire, so to speak, but I know the things that would make me react. Great discussion!

Nothing is greater and worth dying for someone who really needs help. Animals might be considered of course, since we have the instinct of helping for everyone or animals that needs help when in danger. This reminds me of one video i've seen from the news where men are trying to rescue a cow who feels from the cliff, and soon the men were able to secure the cow and the helicopter had to lift it,one men feel off down the cliff and get hurt more than the cow had. It's how we value other life, more than ours. have a great day always

Oh it's okay, what a beautiful story, he propably is not from a slaughterer house! You know even eating meat is to help them to suffer like hell. You know there are slaughterer houses that cut all of a cow's feet so they drain the blood while alive so their meat be soft? I believe one day when all know the truth the world will be Vegan. I loved your story. I'm glad that in a situation of helping someone you have that as an instinct, believe me not everyone is like that.

Hi katie: I prefer to ask myself the opposite question: what's worthed living for? It will worth dying for those we love. In my case for my parents or one of my brothers. If I need to give my life for them I don't think twice, they deserve it, specially my parents that have done everything for me. ALVARO

Living for there are many things, but the point it I was curious. I realize if I see good people that makes my heart really at peace, I was reading animal rescue stories and I was really moved. The other day it was a blog about a family that adopted a chinese girl. And recently I just heard about how this old woman (a real story) didn't had any of her 4 daughters to visit her! She then find out a relative of mine, she went there and helped and the woman was so grateful. Before the end she had made a will and left the house to this relative, the daughters even tried to take the house back in court. When I got in front of that car I didn't even think. I wouldn't let a guy kill a dog on purpose. He was seeing the dog from far away, and yet he got more speed. Cam upi believe the dog waited for me to end up my heated discussion with the driver before leaving the street? I believe animals can think and are more intelligent than presumed. He should have run cause the tires made this whole love of noise, and yet he was waiting for me right behind me! When I turn around his eyes had so many words, he waited and I said 'We can go now' and we both walked together to the sidewalk. He kept looking, I had already adopted 2 in an apartament of only 1 pet that if they did find out they would take one of my daughters away, but I so wish to give him a bath, food and the warmth of my bed. It was really hard to say good bye to him. I went back to my home, couldn't feel my body very well cause it was surreal, it wasn't fear, it was like no feeling at all, I looked back once again, there he was looking. Amazing, he knew what it happened, or almost happened to him. Soooooooo cute!

I think for me my family and friends are worth dying for. I love my family and friends very much and would be willing to die for them to save their life. I wouldn't wish to die because I love and enjoy life but if it would save my family or friends I would give my life for them.

Hi katie0, Life is a very precious thing and yes in past i used to think these person or things are worth dying for . But experience have tought me that no one cares if you like or die so i would say no nothing is worth dying for except your parents or your mother country. Apart from these there is nothing worthwhile to die for because you save a life by giving your life , so you saved one and destroyed one. Whats the use?
