is there a site that pays for writing songs?

I have looked at Taxi (the link that was posted earlier) and while it seems like an interesting service, I don't know enough about it to be able to say for sure whether I'd recommend it or not. I will have to do some research on it though as I am working on developing a music firm, part of which will focus on resources for musicians. If you (or anyone else reading this) does decide to get involved with Taxi, I would love to know how it turns out! I do not know any websites that pay specifically for writing songs, but if you look into sites that pay you for your writing such as Triond, Squidoo, and even Gather (it is point-based but a Paypal payment is one of the redemption options), they are always a good place to start and a lot for creative writing such as songs. If possible, I would also record some of your songs and post them to sites like YouTube, and maybe have an option where people can upload your work from one of those sites that pays users for uploads. You can always embed these videos to your posts so that people can read your writing and hear how the song sounds at the same time. Don't forget to promote your work. For best results, you should identify your target audience as specifically as possible and look for like-minded music people on message boards and other places. As you get more and more successful with this, you could make your own website to sell your work from. That is the approach that would probably feel the most natural to me. Of course, you'll have to do some experimenting to see what works best, but what I have explained above are just some basic tips and ideas for getting started.
