ever since I was a kid, I've always loved yam. I spent countless hours watching my grandmother making yam. And being the official quality control officer during the yam making process. When I left Zamboanga, Yam was something I didn't have easy access to, so i have been off yam for a long, long, long time. I may have the chance to have some yam again. After reading Buy and Sell Magazine, I saw some vendors selling yam. All you have to do is order some. ooohhh yum yum!

I have never had purple yams but I have had sweet potatoes which are called yams when you bake the with sugar brown sugar syrup what ever you prefer. I eat those all seasons around even though some people only use them for hoilday meals i like them with my daily meal. I would most definitely try a purple yam its sounds very interesting and tasty.

If you are referring to the purple yam, then you are right. I have always loved eating purple yam since childhood. My mother used to cooked it also during holidays and served as dessert. I have also tried cooking it during holidays but I must admit that it's hard to mix the ingredients when it is almost cooked. But the effort is paid when you have tasted it.
