Do you think the age limit for teens to be able to drive should increase to 18?

Accidents are caused often mainly due to younger inexperienced drivers. I know I was only fifteen when I went to driving school, at fifteen and half, I had my drivers permit and at exactly sixteen years old and two weeks- I had my license and a car. Why? Mainly so I can communicate to and from school because my parents both worked when I went to school and I hated walking home. It was good exercise but I walked home every since I was young. I didn't go anywhere so accidents couldn't happen. I didn't break the rules of having a license like driving people, or talking on the phone or anything. But at the age, if you have a car, people think you're so cool- they ask for rides and what not = distraction and that is what causes accidents. Do you feel the age limit for teens should be increased to 18 instead of 16?

I do not know. i seen kids 4-5 years racing with go-karts and motorcycles at important international races. I think this kids could have their license approve at the age of 16 because they have had a lot of experience their life. In my country at the licenses or approved after 18 years old. Since 2005 the law said that 16 years old could get a license as their fellow 16 years old from the western countries. At the age of 16 you can get in Romania only A1 (small motorcycle 200km/h and

Wow 4-5 years, that's crazy! I live in another country, I live in the United States - it's 16 here but they might change it to 18 because of the accident rates but who knows. Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure how how much km to miles is -__- lol

In our country, 18 is the right age to drive and yes, there are more road accidents when you have a lot of careless 16-year-olds out there who think it cool to lord the roads. Sometimes they make games on the streets like racing, singing, and all sorts of crazy things these young kids do when they are among themselves and especially when they are drunk.

I received my license at 15 also, but I find that 18 would be best. My thinking is that diving is not only about know how to drive. It is about defensive driving these days. Most accidents I hear about is because most do not react properly. We will never be too prepared but at times defensive driving can avoid some accidents. Maybe if they solely get a permit at 16 and only be to drive on their own at 18 drivers may get more practice this way.

Yes, I agree! Yes, that is a good idea, permit at 16 but only able to learn how to drive is a good idea because people have to start some time right? :) Thanks for sharing!
