Senior Citizen i doesn't means whose age is more than 60 yrs in mylot. I means to say that mylotter who have crossed 1500 discussion and remain active in this world should give some incentive like the payout should be little bit more then new bie(new commer having discussion less then 1500) so it encourage the mylotter to remain the part of it.. So i think administrative will look after in this matter.. and friend i want to know about your view on this regard please make your comment here..?

I don't think it would be fair at all it just wouldn't give the right impression to a newbie I believe everything should be equal. I could just post junk just to reach the 1500 rating. Which would completely be wrong and lead to useless discussions . I'm quite sure that some of the senior mylotters have failed to read to the discussion as well .

Well, if your posts are junk, then it will get deleted and therefore won't earn you anything nor any rating.

'not all junk is removed.' - Agreed on that. I get your point, I'm just trying to clear up a little bit, that's all.

My point is merely the fact of increased SPAM . I'm not sure mylots admins would want all the extra work of clearing that up nor am I sure that anyone would wish to have increased junk within the discussions also not all junk is removed.

I agree with that, but I think the discussion number should be raised to 10,000 or at least 5,000. 1,500 is an easy enough target. I think that it is just fair to reward those who have stayed with myLot for a long period of time.

With the responses and comments I read, I think this is the best suggestion, to raise the number of post to at least 5K and it continues to give incentives when we reach another 5K and so on.

No, how can mylot have an incentive for senior citizens!!! This is a virtual world so you never really know anybody for sure…so I can very well say that I’m over 60 when in fact, my age is much lower. That would be cheating and mylot wont even know it

The original discussion wasn't about age though . Did you read it at all?. The discussion was getting at mylotters who where over a certain number of posts the first line. 'i doesn't means whose age is more than 60 yrs in mylot'

I'm all for that. No, seriously though, do you think that would encourage people to stay one? Or would they get discouraged that they have to have that many posts? It's hard enough for some people until they get their star, their copy/paste, etc.

I thought at first you were talking about senior citizens agewise. I would agree to that! I fight every day with the "·$% keyboard. I don´t see the letters. Besides, a thousand years ago, when I was young, letters were black and the page was white or ivory. Not anymore. My fingers wake up about three hours after my only gray cell does. I exercise the lonely gray cell by coming to post here, but the fingers hurt and need their own gym. I propose that senior citizens should be given an extra amount for effort. What do you think? Don´t you think it´s fair? Take care and happy posting.

I think that senior ciizens deserve every break they can get. I hope that someone thinks this way about me when I reach those golden ages. I think it would be great if mylot recignized and appreciated senior citizens with a bit more incentive than they already have.

I'm not sure if you read the whole discussion. It is not about the age that is discussed.

I am over 60 and don't think it would be fair to the younger members if I was paid more than the bulk of the members. Am assuming most members are younger. Maybe having a senior chat room would be the answer to getting more older members interested in myLot. Ya know, just a fun place for us fossils to hang out! lol

Carol if you read the topic you will see that we are not discussing those Lotters who are furher on in years but further on in their activity here

NO Siliguri! I don't agree to this concept. We all participate out of our own free will and there must be uniformity in treatment. Whether a person is new or old,he is given the chance of getting referrals. People who are capable can earn more by getting many referrals.I do not qualify in these lines but I feel that fairness must be there .Perhaps, a BR can get slightly better earnings but here too this is possible only if the BR is given by all the participants in a discussion because it can give rise to a bit of favouritism and groupism when the discussion poster does it.

I read the whole topic again siliguri and I understood what you were saying; I have a different viewpoint and that was expressed in the first few lines. All people who have more than 1500 to their credit are senior citizens . THis is what you have written.I said thta there can be no discrimination between old and new because it will give rise to unnecessary resentment and groupism. THe last part was only a continuation of another view point.THat was in isolation. You can omit it.

Hello siliguri, I agree that option will motivate the seniors here for sure. But what about the practical side, I am not sure whether the administration will consider this and increase the remuneration for those active mylotters. I wan to share one joke here, when I saw the title I thought that you are talking about those people who aged above 60, a thought flashes in my mind then anybody can give their age as 60 or above. Just shared what I thought on reading the topic and after reading the content I realized what you mean here.

So, if administrative give the incentive in the payout for the senior citizen(whose age is 60 yrs and more) then i think you will be get benefit of it.

This is a nice idea Siliguri. May be we can have different levels like after crossing 1500, next 20000 like that. So many would be encouraged to stay active and start nice discussions and there will be lot of responses as well.

Rather than an incentive for senior citizens, I think there should be one for those who read the topic! These responses are hilarious! I think that once a Lotter reaches higher numbers then they already earn their reward because they get accustomed to what earns better for them and they don't waste their time posting nonsensical stuff just to pass the time here. I would not think that an incentive of that type would make things better here, rather it could make things worse because those with lower numbers would be postinglike crazy to reach a higher number. Let's leave it up to myLot to deal with how we are paid. They are doing such a good job of it for sucha long time now that I feel it is best left up to them

I did read the topic, Di, but as it´s a proposal for a change, I gave my ideas about why senior citizens agewise needed more incentives than people who had over a number of posts. Scroll down, please. I bet you will see my point.

Well I think it might be a good idea but I think it would encourage spam posting like those new people will just post nonsensical stuff just to add total number of post.

Except the (100) limit -- a new member with no star and rate is not allowed to rate others --, I do not see the reasons of other gates, and I pity the new members to have to wait until (500) to be able to copy and paste. You are already paid more than new members at (500) : you can easily paste a link and and you can put a photo in your response that will be paid. I do not see why, because a member would reach 1500, 10000 or 1000000, he would get more ? I am for the equality of payment for all members. If myLot has somebody to encourage, it is the new members : I think they should get a bonus to encourage them to stay, and it would be justified because they are really handicapped by the gates and have often at (100) a bad star that does not reflect their true value, because many old members have not rated them or have not replied to any of their discussions.

hi, i agree with you, senior here should have that incentives because they are still active here and still contributing different discussions and comments.if we could only request that.
