Squeeling At Live Events Like Gigs/Televised Shows

I have done my fair share of shouting, cheering, clapping and even, yes, embarrassing dancing at rock gigs but I have NEVER squeeled..not even at Bob Catley. I've been tempted to throw my bra at him but I've always been too far away. Haha! Seriously though, why all this squeeling? I know it's been going on for years in America, especially at rock gigs and I've always put it down to..er, drug use. So is it the drugs that make them squeel unnecessarily? I mean, it's getting to the point where a comedian walks on stage and the audience go "Wooowwwwwweeeeewoooooo!"...and that's before he even says anything! Simon Cowell gets squeeled at all the time. Why? What's so special about him? Even on "Strictly Come Dancing" you get squeeling going on during the actual dance, it's a wonder they don't put the dancers off. Why can't they just clap or cheer..like the good old days lol. Are you a squeeler or do have a bit more decorum like me. Haha! Below are examples of people enjoying themselves in an audience without resorting to squeeling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cz2-ukrd2VQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIFx_GQIfSk&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZK_w1bUpYA&feature=related

Hi Janey, I find all this noise really agravating, the worst one is the X-factor, you can't hear the judges what they are say, its really annoying so ow I just don't watch any of the rubbish they put on. why can't they have some rules where the pleale at home can hear? don't know why they have to shout anywhaere. I think you agree with me, it should be a bit..well a LOT more restrained. It does hamper our enjoyment of certain programmes, you're right there...oh, and don't get me started on background music!!

Lady Gaga was at Radio Ones' Big Weekend right here in Carlisle last night, a major scoop for this city, believe me. It was a free festival but I didn't go because I don't like any of the bands - or Lady Gaga, so I'm hoping someone who appreciates her got a ticket instead. Anyway, she was on telly last night (half an hour late, apparently) and the first thing the crowd did? Lift up their mobile phones to film her! This did not happen when I frequented gigs as they weren't around then. What is it with these people? Concentrate on what Lady Gaga is doing, don't film it! Fortunately, the filming stopped after about 10 minutes (and the screaming too, thankfully) and Lady Gaga wasn't actually that bad. What she does is seriously hyped up though. She's just a singer with an artistic side, that's all. Nothing radical in that.

I don't remember squeeling in any concept I've been in but I remember throwing my right shoe on somebody singing in a battle of the bands competition.
