becoming the Last Man on Earth

I have only seen the movie "I am Legend". It goes that Dr. Neville (played by Willie Smith) is actually not the last man on earth but he was someone who somehow not affected by the virus. Let' say he is the sole survivor in the infected area. I thing "Cast Away" showed a more comparable case as Tom Hanks makes up this character "Wilson" from a volley ball so that he can find someone to talk to, and keep his insanity. Look around the society today, you can find old people left along to die lonely. To them, they must be feeling like they are the last person on Earth despite there are plenty of people around. I suppose there is no big deal to be the last person on Earth.

I'm quite solitary but I am sure being the last person alive would drive me insane. I remember an old episode of The Twilight Zone with a similar concept---there was one man who was wandering around a city where there were no other people. At first it was enjoyable to have the freedom to take whatever he wanted, but later on he realized how lonely it could be. If I were the last person on Earth I do hope I'd be in an Earth that's still livable, with supplies. When that happens I guess I'd live for the hope that there are others like me, wandering and searching.

If i was the last man on earth i would turn off all the lights. And then i would drive all my fantasy cars, stock up on food and medicine, get the best of cloathes and set of round the world. But to be honest i don't think it would be a very nice place on your own so i hope i never am the last person on earth!
