turnkey websites... will it do good for a newbie?

I've lately encountered a lot of experienced and successful internet 'gurus' offering their latest products... a turnkey websites (made for those who are lazy and eager to make money fast). For the sake of those who haven't heard or know about turnkey websites; it's actually a ready-made website with review content of various clickbank products (mostly own by the guru himself). That website can be yours for a paid monthly membership however, all the clickbank products in that review website is embedded with your own clickbank ID so if anybody clicks a product (& converts into sale) from your website, the commission goes to you. So it's like your paying for a hosting fee of your turnkey website only expensive (because they actually host your ready-made website for free). Now I'm a newbie too in the world of internet marketing but personally I'm taking the long route or the old-school technique, so I'm not in a hurry and I wanna learn slowly and really well about the business. However, I wanna know if this turnkey websites can do good to newbies like me and the rest. Any experienced affiliate marketers here care to share your ideas??
