Guys are said to be lucky because they get to choose who to court and to pursue unlike girls (traditionally speaking). Girls' choices are somehow limited to those who show interest in them. There are times when the guy who shows interest in them seems to be interesting too, so there won't be a problem with that. But what if it's the other way around? What if you don't find the guy interesting and the last thing you would want in the world is to be with him? How would you show your disinterest in the guy and how would you tell him that he is not just your type? Did you use the lines - 'i'm too young', 'i promised my parents i'm going to finish studying first', 'i'm already in a relationship', 'we're better off as friends', 'i'm going to enter the monastery' among others? To the guys, have you ever been turned down and how did the apple of your eye do that? Would you rather have her done it in a different way?

i guess, in this matter, girl is somehow lucky, i don't know, it's just no matter how much the guy would court a girl, the girl still possess the power to decide if we want them or not, i've seen a lot of man, doing everything for me and since i dislike them i just turn them down i'll say, Next time and whatever reason i'll think of that moment, but in case being a girl if we like somebody we can do something about it, we can use our girl's charm and without even courting a guy they can fall for us.... i just don't get it when a person will say boys are lucky, when girls has the power of the final judgement

hi xien2xien! you've got a point in saying that girls has the same opportunity to choose as with the guys in terms of choosing someone to be with. i guess it's pretty much just even. girl's charm sometimes is not really that effective on some men so girls do turned down also and in case like this, it is the guy who had the final judgement. :)

i think a girl whose using her charm and turned down by a guy is not using her charm correctly, boys are weak in temptations so there must have been something wrong with a chick for a guy to turn her down

Nowadays it is becoming more and more accepted for a woman to make the first move to get to know someone that interests her.

Times have changed. In Western culture it is already OK for a woman to pursue a man that she likes. Although this is not common practice, it will be so in the near future.
