Have you ever went to the market, came home to realize something was missing?

Have you ever went to the market to come home something was missing.
I went grocery shopping with my boyfriend and.... my can of soup that was going to go well with my sandwich for lunch was missing! Went home only like 2 miles away from the market, I called them and they said next time tell them and they'll give it to me. How unconvenient..
Have you ever went home to find something missing? What did you do?

That is the story of my life
. I make lists that I leave at the table, I take lists that somehow get lost at the super. Many times I go to the super for one important item and bring back a lot of unnecessary things bu NOT what I needed. I just do with out it and start another list that begins with the missing itms.

Aw :( I make lists before too and I end up buying a lot of stuff as well that isn't necessary.

Oh gosh yes it has happened to me also. I hate it because our main grocery store is not nearby. I was missing the dish washing soap and I called and although it was on my receipt they said to go to the service desk but I had to do so with 2 days.
So I went back after a day and did get my dish soap but if I count the gas wasted having to return I would have been better off buying it again our our small store.
