What is the freshest fish you ever had?

My husband goes fishing every spring and early fall, he catches stripe bass mainly. We had it sashimied last year, it is wat I do: I sliced the fish into pieces about 1 inch thick, pour lime juice on it, freeze it fr 20 minutes then served with soya sauce and wasabi, oh yummy yummy! I love sashimi 
very much and that was wonderful! I can't wait my husband to catch fish and we can do it again!~
How about you? Do you eat sashimi? What kind do you like? I like petty much allkinds of sashimi, salmon, tuna, yellowtail... all of them!

Here in Philippines, we make it into "kilawin" yummy! from tuna to yellow fin to marlin. :)) i also love it when it is grilled. 
with some chili and bagoong. hahaha

I have eaten n early ever edible fish in the Pamilco river in eastern nc. Peerch,bass ,brim, channel cats, rock fish (another type of bass) I'll eat them any way but raw!

Raw fish is also very good after being dealt with a right way.

The freshest fish I ever ate were mud-cat, caught in the creek behind the house. We chopped off their heads, gutted them and tossed them in the frying pan over the fire. As the fish began to cook they were still flopping around in the pan. Have you ever had fish as fresh as that?

Hi. mermaidivy. I have never heard of sashimi fish before. I do love to eat salmon though. The freshest fish that I have ever eaten was the tilapia that I have in my freezer right now. It is air sealed into a plastic sealed airtight bag. This allows the fish to remain fresh and moist. I wished that all fishes are sealed tightly like this too. I love tuna, salmon, catfish, flounder, and whitings fish.

oh my gosh... I am here in korea now and i thought sashimi that i ordered from the resto when i was back in dubai is the freshest thing i ever had but i was wrong... the squirt fish here is beyond of all i tasted! lol it tasted sea water! hahaha
