I totally feel awkward to show affection infront of my parents with my boyfriend of over 4 years. My parents don't even show affection infront of their kids & if they do , its once in a while... While, I've seen some people I know would make infront of their parents like nothing. What do you think? Do you show affection infront of your parents with your significant other?

I also feel awkward about that so my husband and I dont do it. When my brother got married, he really liked cuddling and kissing in front of us but we didnt like it and my sister didnt like it to. After she got married, the was the one doing the cuddling and kissing in front of us and I wanted to remind her she was not suppose to do that.

Showing affection in a wholesome way is different from showing affection passionately. I can hold hands or even hug with my bf in front of my uncle before who served as my guardian since I didn't have parents anymore. But I cannot imagine smooching with my bf in front of any of my family. This post reminded me of my dad's mom and my mom's dad. Before they got married with their respective spouses they were a couple and my fraternal grandma sat on my maternal granddad's lap in front if her mother. My grat grandmother told her softly to sit properly. Imagine that was decades ago and yet they were so liberal.

hi, of course not because i need to hide from them my secret relationship with my lover.and i think its not good to show affection in front of my parents as a respect to them.

In a boyfriend-girlfriend stage, yeah its really awkward. But if you're already married, I think its okey as long as its not very intimate.

I still think it'd be awkward if I was married. I know my brother in law & sister don't and they're married. Everyone I know who is married don't, it's just WEIRD -__-
