Why do cats always prefer to sleep on black items?

My cat always go for the black items in my cupboard when he`s going for a nap..Can anyone tell me if there is any specific reason or if it`s just my cat that`s weird lol?

yes,i will surely observe my cat. the only thing i am familiar with is,our cat loves to sleep on mat always

Cats who loves to sleep on black items are like cats who loves to sleep in a dark place. Some cats tends to get disturbed when you turned on the light.But some cats are used to it snaggling next to human being.Like people all cats are different too. My cat and kittens loves to snaggle with me and my bf and sleep with us even the lights are turned on.lol

Welcome. I'm never heard this before. I've had cats all my life and have never seen it either. I can tell you this much. If it's true my cats have all been very unhappy, I don't own anything that dark. Best Wishes!
