Is it okay to have a cup of coffee for me? I'm a coffee-drinker, a cup of coffee always starts my day. But now that I'm pregnant, I have to stop it. Is it okay to drink coffee once a week? I truly miss it... huhuhuhuhu...

I am not a big coffee/soda drinker, but I know when my sisters were pregnant they drank soda/tea. True, it doesn't have as much caffeine per serving, but that's all they drank all day. It doesn't hurt the baby to drink coffee one a week. I don't think it will have any real affects if you drink it once a day. Did your OBGYN tell you to stop? Did they tell you why? My doctor, which is also my sister's doctor, didn't say to much. There are all kinds of things you can/can't do just because you are with child, but a lot is just assumptions and maybe's. You can also try de-caffeinated coffee for the effect. To have that taste, but without the caffeine. But if you are a big coffee drinker, I wouldn't stop cold turkey, then you will have headaches from the withdrawals. Good Luck!

She told me to stop if I can help. But I asked her if once a week is okay, she told me it's okay, and I deserve to treat myself sometimes. Being pregnant is not easy, specially when you have to watch what u eat all the time .
