Let me try my best to explain this situation to you. But before explaining it, I want to tell you, I am not major in english. But I'll just gonna share what I know about the english language usage. When we say First Honor we mean one person who got First honor. But when we sa First Honors it has an added S in the last word. Then we mean its plural, it could be that there are 2 persons who got the first honors. We are only talking about singular and plural. I am not so sure about it, but i hope it helps. By the way is possible that 2 students got the first honor?

Thank you for sharing your opinion but this I guess it has nothing to do with its plural form. This is use even if there is only one person got the mark.Thank you again.
