Let's just pray that we do not reach the 'worst'. It is only Him and our faith who can help us get through these dark times.

Right! amidst the terrors and happenings all over the world, there is only one God that we should pray and hold on to. I know everything is in His control and He has plans for us. I am praying fervently that my family will be safe and sound amidst all these.

2 Timothy 3:13 (New International Version, ©2011) 13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. Everything is happening as we were told it would. We have a work to do. Let's stay busy! Matthew 24:14 (New International Version, ©2011)14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

When we are busy in good things, it helps us to endure trials and the time passes faster, and before we know it, we will be in God's new world and we will never ever again have to face the problems of the present age.

What keeps me going everyday is my faith and my children. Everyday I wake up wanting to make a better life for my girls. My children are my world, and to not want to do better by then just doesn't even cross my mind. When I think about things going on around me, I just remind myself that as long as my girls are taken care of then that is all that matters. My faith keeps me going because I strongly believe that you will never be given more than you can handle. We all have hard times, and wonder how everything going on around is going to effet us, but I try hard not to ponder on it, because to my girls it doesn't matter. They need their mommy and daddy, thats it. As long as they are loved, safe, and taken care of that is all I am concerned with everyday.

The most important job of a parent is to prepare their children for eternity. To teach them that they are not only accountable to parents and their society, but ultimately and more importantly, to God. It is good you love your children and put them first. Considering that many in this day and age don't. Keep loving them and teach them that God loves them too.

Just makes you want to curl up in a ball and hide. I am not a 2012 believer but I can see where they can make a case for it coming! I also pray that our own government is more on top of things then Japan was when it came to natural disasters with chain effects, but alas I have seen none form any of the presidents I have lived through, none of them. I fear is something where to happen it would be much worse here as our own people are hate driven and all to happy to hurt, molest or kill the next to get very little.

It does feel as if something is impending...some feel it is the beginning of a bright New Age, the Age of Aquarius. So my question is, where do all those who hate, hurt and kill fit in. Are they just going to 'disappear'? More later when I return from work? hope so

I was being sarcastic about the bright new age, OpinionatedLady. Sorry. I do that to often, I know. I wonder about all the 'terrorists' who think they'll make the entire world submit to Islam. And the NWO devotees, the ones who truly believe that all this mayhem will lead to that supposed bright new age. How will they explain it when the bombs start reigning down on America? I believe the world is getting worse. Maybe it is as some say, just because we have the technology to know more of what is going on. BUT something tells me it IS getting worse. Mainly because there's been TV and radio and such for my whole life and yet there is more heinious crime reported and written about than ever before, more crimes against women and children, more hate and more lies and greed than I can remember ever hearing about. Something my mother said way back in the 70's...I had a book about Charlie Manson and she didn't approve of me reading it. She said, that man was a devil and why read about how wicked he is? Made me wonder if he was possessed. And I've been wondering ever since the more I read of the horror that mankind is capable of. Palestinian terrorists slit a three month old baby's throat because they hate Jews...? How is that NOT evil? There is EVIL in the world today. No other explanation for what some people are capable of.

I am thinking they will kill them selves off, or hoping maybe. I want to believe some superior being will wipe them out and leave the good but again it is a hope.

I watched this video from beginning to end. Did you hear the part at the beginning that mentions the "dangers of secularism"? I do not believe that he mocked god here, not at all. He even says that following god's edicts "may be sublime" Yes, he took on a mocking tone when mentioning stories from the bible that suggest that slavery is ok, that stoning our children is ok, that eating shellfish will send us to hell...etc. The fact is, the bible does contain such ridiculous stuff. I've read more than one version of it. I do point out the discrepancies in the bible, and many strongly religious people agree and understand that the bible was written down by men...men who had agendas of their own. (Just as the laws and philosophies today are written by men and women who have agendas of their own.) The fact is, he was making a point about divisiveness and how you can never get rid of dissent, no matter what you do (you can never make everyone happy.) I think perhaps, had his tone when mentioning those things been less of a mocking tone, the words themselves would have been just fine. After all, he had a respectful tone throughout the rest of it. He believes in god, but making laws based on religion is not democracy; it is theocracy.

It is mocking in its intent, he is using the audience's lack of understanding about the meaning of scriptures to confuse the issue even further. No one that I have heard speak on America being a Christian nation wants a theocracy. No one suggests that we use the Bible's teachings to formulate laws on behavior. Yet he implies that that is what Conservative Christians are doing. It is interesting that he mentions abortion. Because he has tried to make partial birth abortion legal. Most prolife activists are Christian and DO use scripture to back up their stand. BUT, there are ALSO purely scientific and legal reasons to oppose the practice and these reasons have been presented to the Congress and this administration. He says we MUST use non religious arguements in our law making process, yet he refuses to do so himself on the abortion issue. He does not listen to the scientific or legal reasons and advocates the liberal stand that it is not a human being. That is my opinion. You are not required to agree to be welcome to respond.

Where the head is delivered outside the mother's body and then subjected to a needle into the soft fontanels to kill the baby.

Well, I think some conservatives do want to form laws and public policy based on their religious beliefs. The majority of conservatives I have spoken to, however, are more than willing to think about non-religious arguments. If you don't mind me asking, partial birth abortion in what way? I'm not entirely familiar with what that implies.

I am totally devastated seeing all this disasters happening around the world. I use to mock my hubby whenever he mentioned 2012. But i worry a bit somwhere in my in my heart. Anyways, faith in the almighty and his immense power definitely keeps me going. I guess, he is making us realize the power of mother nature and asking us to be wise enough to protect her rather than exploiting her. I hope things will get better with the time. God Bless!
