Well I'm still new with laptops I really still don't understand what is the difference with those two or more laptops, So before I get one I want to know the different parts or hardware should I consider before I get one. I do indeed lack in information about this device, but we have a computer and I do know some parts but I really don't know what kind of hardware should I buy.

Macs overall are good computers, but they are overpriced. You can get the same great quality computer for less using a PC. If you want to go with different Operating Systems (Windows XP, Windows 7) I will post what to look for. XP: 2.4GHz (or above)32-bit/64-bit processor(single or dual core) 1-2GB RAM (My computer with XP runs fine with 1GB) 7: 2.8GHz (or above) (dual core 64-bit minimum) 4GB RAM (minimum for decent performance over time) These are two main things you should look for, but if you have any other questions concerning this feel free to comment or message me and I will halp ya out :)

For your purposes I would recommended a recreational computer. Photoshop (CS3, CS4, and CS5) itself will run on a 1.8GHz processor and 1GB RAM, but if you want Windows 7 you might run into issues with CS4. I would recommend that you don't go with a netbook, because most processors in those are Intel Atom. Those can only reach a maximum clock speed of around 1.6GHz, and seem to perform poorly. On the other hand you don't need a gaming computer either. What I Recommend: - Windows 7 Home Premium (or above) - 64 bit dual core 1.8-2.2GHz (or above)(I prefer Intel over AMD for longevity) - 2-4GB RAM (or above) I'm not sure if you want a laptop or a desktop, but these specifications are universal. If you need anymore info please feel free to add another comment.

It depends on how you are going to use it. If you are a gamer or you often open lots of applications at once, better choose a laptop with a high RAM. I recommend a Windows 7 pc if you want a personal laptop which you want to fully customize. Or a Mac. Regarding hardwares, I recommend you to go to your nearest computer store or a local store your friends recommend, ask the personnel and explain how you would use it and they would surely show you what best suits your needs/wants. There are lots of brands and types of laptop and netbooks. It's better to see the machine for yourself because you are going to use it for a long time. And also, there are lots of resources online if you want to gain more knowledge about the parts. Buy reference books if you prefer to.

Honestly, I love Mac. They come well-equipped with most of the hardware you need, their salespeople are pretty smart, and they have laptops catered to what your interests might be. They're faster than PC's, more reliable than PC's, and even if some of their hardware isn't quite as top notch, what matters is that it runs better. I think the only concern is price. Obviously netbooks are super cheap compared to a Macbook. It depends on what you really need it for.

I suggest you get a MacBook. I know some would disagree but what I like about Mac is that when it crash, you can always send it to your nearest Istore and they do all the tweaking. Plus Mac's hardwares are custom made by apple.

Well I'm not against macs but it depends on the software you want to run and what you use. Some people have used PCs for years and don't like it when they switch to macs, as of what kind of laptop to buy It also depends on what you are going to do with it I guess you must start with 2 GBs of ram and at least an i3 processor. If you will be video editing or love games then just add more ram and processing power. Also As a computer technician I would recommend you to stay away from HP and Dell they are having all sorts of problems and failures I'm receiving lots of these for repairs nowadays. Buy Sony Samsung or Toshiba. Have a great day

I recommend Sony and Toshiba brands. Those two are the well-known brands on the market for they acquire durability. They are expensive but they can live for quite a long time. It is what we call "spending wisely".
