I use a digital camera when taking pictures of my family when getting together or going out in malls and in the park, also when going out with friends and with my girl friend for memories. But when I hold a camera I always want to take stolen shots of my friends, family and even other person that I really don't know. I really love those shots, because when I look at it I see a different story with those shots. I feel happy, glad, surprise and more. What do love to take pictures of? Are we the same, that loves stolen shots? or you like to take a picture of different things?

It depends arvintot on what you prefer the most. Some people like portrait, landscape, macro, food, etc. Others like night photography, while some love shooting birds. As you said, you love those stolen ones, candid moments. Once in a while, you can try your luck at it but I suggest that you talk to your subject. After building rapport, ask him/her if you can take a picture. Of course with the pose that you want. In that way, you'll be able to capture the best moment as if it was stolen.

I haven't tried this at all. Because I really don't own the camera that I'm using its an dslr. I still do stolen shots even when I'm using a digital camera.

Well, photography is not about the camera. I doesn't matter what camera you use. It's the composition that counts. Trust me, it's not the camera, it's the composition. It's how the photographer sees the picture. As the saying goes, every picture depicts a story.

I too love the stolen shot. they can be so precious at something like a wedding where you could never reproduce the natural expressions. i also do landscape and portraits, or i used to! old eyesight has gone i'm afraid! best of luck with your candid pictures in the future.

Hi arvintot, I'm hoping that I won't fall victim of your stolen shots.:) Well me too, I love taking pictures except mine cause I don't like my face in it. Different story in stolen shots? Yah, although most of it would be comedy in the making, awkward facial expressions and moods.
