Cold water or hot water when eating?

New studies say drinking cold water upon eating slows down the metabolism of foods we ingest thus, making your body gain weight. While hot water aids in much faster metabolism resulting to lesser weight gain.

This is great! Thank you for this post. Now I know why i don't gain weight, because I don't drink cold water after meal. I usually drink not that hot, but a lukewarm water after meal.

I started drinking warm to hot water way back in my early 20's, were I became aware the effects or hot and cold drinks to one's body. As much as possible I avoid drinking cold water or any cold drinks, if there is an ice I put it off, but sometimes their is no choice around so I just drink it up. Cold water could make you bloated beside of slowing down your metabolism.

I've actually heard this before. Isn't this why people often drink tea with their dinner? I'm not a fan of hot liquids as much. I enjoy drinking cold water with my meals.

Not sure which study this is but I can tell you I drink almost a gallon a day of cold water, am very active with exercising and am very skinny. So the cold water has not affected me and in fact I never in life drank water up until two years ago when I began to take a healthier approach with eating habits. Have you noticed any changes when drinking either??

Yes, I've read about that. It has also other benefits because as you drink hot water, it increases the temperature of your body which eventually makes your body sweat to keep the body cool. In terms of sweating, the blood streams get cleaner and the toxins get flushed out of the body. In other words, you become healthier. Drinking hot water has also impact on our psychological aspect as well. Yes, the hot water helps in the removing the deposits in our nervous system, which eventually boost your mood and mental status. Another benefit of drinking hot water is that it can clear your throat and nasal cavity. Especially, if you have a cold then sip hot water for few days throughout the day and see the result. it has the ability to bring glow to your skin as well.
