Shark Tank... and Why?

Why is Jeff Foxworthy on Shark Tank? Is he some big business mogul behind the scenes that I didn't know about? I thought he was a comedian? ... I mean, I suppose he's been able to market HIMSELF well and all, but he doesn't seem to fit into what I would consider a business savvy millionaire as the others on Shark Tank.
Enlighten me! LOL

He's made a lot of money playing a dumb country hick. He's pretty smart. He's got a line of succesful books, a line of successful toys, a line of successful joke books, CDs, and several successful comedy tours under his belt. He's also been in three successful TV shows (not counting him currently hosting Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader). He's defnitely earned his place on The Shark Tank. Having said that, I don't really care for him. Nope, I admire what he has done, but he's not on my favorites list.

That makes sense, thanks for clarifying. He just seemed like an odd choice upon first glace, however after inspection and discussion that makes total sense. Thanks for your information and response!
