Some of you know already that I come from germany. 2007 I moved to florida cause I finally found my father. My english was much more worse then now. I had a really hard time here. We have 2 dogs and they love to eat this beloni lunch meat. When my hubby gave it to the dogs he said do you want blow me. I picked that up fast so it was not beloni it was blow me. The very first time when I was shopping alone I couldnt find it and I try to ask a guy who is working there I said "Can you blow me?" I didnt said show me cause my english was horrible. And he looked with big eyes to me and said"Sorry mam but I am in a relationship. I didnt understand what he ment and went at home.Later I told my hubby about that what happend And he couldnt stop laughing and he said"So that is what you are doing when I am at work asking other guy to blow you? When I go now to Walmart I am still looking for this guy to explain why I wonne blow me lol

Same here too. I was laughing at what the employee said to you. I was not laughing at your English. I am also glad that your English skills have improved.

Since we're discussing this, can anyone also tell me what "...made a pass on me" means? My Aunt in the states was telling me about her very bad experience with her sister's husband. The first thing that came into my mind was that he was abusing or attempting to abuse her sexually. I tried to ask but she had gone offline.

Hi. Theresaaiza. It is like someone trying to flirt with someone by making a move on them, that would make them feel as if they want to "get with them".

Oh my goodness, I was laughing so hard at your post! This is so funny! I think that your husband should have just have shown you how he wants you to blow him. That way, you would have known what, "Can you blow me, meant". I am glad that you now know the meaning of this phrase. Your husband can't get mad at you for asking another guy if you could blow him. Your husband should have shown you what he meant, since you did not do it for him at that time.

This made me laugh out loud! Can you blow me? I'm imagining the face of that man whom you talked with at the store! Well, it's good he's in a relationship or else you will find your self in a situation you least expected. Next time you go to a store to shop, tell your husband to list everything you need. Anyway, that was 3 years ago, I guess you are well-versed now.

See if you can get a Copy of Coal Miners Daughter you will get a kick out of Loretta Lynn and her bologna. And she said it live on a radio station she was very young and naive at the time. Loretta Lynn is one of our First Ladies of Country Music. But every time you get to watch the movie, I still laugh over her and that bologna sandwich! you immediately made me think of her when you told the story!

So funny, Gothicana...a true comedy of errors. Now to help you further, the name of the meat is 'bologna' or in slang it is 'baloney'. It is made many different ways with different ingredients. I like beef or chicken bologna made with garlic seasonings. My cat even likes it although I don't let her have much because I think it is loaded with too much sodium. Thank you for sharing your experience. Welcome to myLot.
