I just read that a woman who lives in indonesia saw black smoke coming out of the vulcano, and I thought by my self that I am laying here on my sofa with my lap top and that poor woman has to worry. So I cant do nothing right now to help her but I wish all my lotters or better all people on this planet a wonderful weekend ,and I guess I speak for all here that we all hope that the vulcano falls in sleep again

hi gothicana what a nice sweet discussion. I was just thinking of a remark my fellow tablemate Steve made. He said we think we have igt tough in Gold Crest because we often are fed stuff we really do not' like. well the homeless Japanese are still in tents and are on really'low rations all day long. We here in the US assume everyone else is just as fortunate, and sadly they are not.this made me stop and count my many blessings all that day. So yes I also hope that volcano sleeps all night and does not harm anyone I will pray for that tonight.Have a great weekend too.

Hatley I say that to my husband alot. We always send troops overseas, and the US has no idea of a huge disaster. And if we ever did have one in a part of the US, I can see it like the movies everyone piling in their cars and trying to get to the other side. I told my husband I would sit right where I am rather than not get anywhere! I was in the Army though and saw a lot for a young girl. So I think if something happened like that here you would find this old lady out trying to set up triage and help! Just my nature I guess. Bless you and guess all three of us will be saying our prayers for others. My son-in-law is in Iraq right now.

So true Gothicana on how sometimes we complain about little things while others have it so bad with so many worries. The woman you speak of I remember clearly she went through a great deal at the time the volcano erupted. Upon reading her discussion I felt really sad because nothing anyone can do about bad things that happen that way. Sadly she informed us and kept us up to date about her situation and it was absolutely sad. Me too I hope she and the others do not experience this again.

yes we are Blessed. Although you and I both live in Florida and have to start watching out for Hurricane season. Living in the Panhandle we tend to get hit more and have to evacuate more than others. I give a lot of thought to the troops too as they fight in very hot deserts in these wars around the world. I think often of the people in Japan and Haiti too. Makes me wish I was younger and go back to my medical field to aid. if we ever have a disaster here I guess I will be a 58 year old woman aiding in triage if assistance is needed. I used to be a EMT. I still get the rush when seeing an ER room or an ambulance go by. Guess when you do it that feeling of helping never goes away.

That is really sad and its pretty crazy I just saw this post because it has been a beautiful day to me, I live in Arizona and for once it was cold, cloudy, windy and rainy. I'm doing the same thing laying on the couch with my lap top and I've jus been looking out my window because I have a perfect view thru the trees of the mountains and I have been looking at the snow on top of it and as the clouds are moving over the top I was thinking it looked like volcano. Then I saw your post and I can not imagine if it really were a volcano how scary that would be. I feel for that lady and anyone else around her. I pray them that they are all ok and I hope everyone has a good and safe weekend.
