I planned my schedule to have a relaxed busy weekend. I have to take my baby for timely vaccination and clean my home as my kid and dog have messed up their rooms. When I started to hospital, I got an call for some credit card. When i am back home, I was again annoyed by 3 more calls from same company one after other. Then started to clean my kid room flooring, I got 2 calls for internet service buy. And when I was so hungry to start my lunch, I got 5 calls continuously. I just cant control my screaming and started warning them "Please add me on your DND List". I am into Do Not Call List already, but still.. It was no more relaxing weekend

I share your frustration about those annoying nonsense cold calls that brutally break into our daily life without any regard for our privacy whatsoever. The evil greedy telecom companies that would not allow us to bar unwanted calls unless we paid a fee. They love those call centres because they pay them a lot and each of those calls to my cellphone cost me money. I would like to call on every citizen out there. Please, I ask you, do not do business with any of those cold calls. If they got no business from making those calls, the whole calling centre business will shutdown and we can enjoy our peace in our own house again. Thank you. If I have the time, I would let them finish their sales talk, ask a whole lot of questions and stall forever until they lose their patience and hang up. Muhahahaha!

Hi Chinchoy, True you got the point right. First I would blame telecom companies who never take up customer complaints for free. Next is the companies or call centres. True its we people should neglect the unwanted calls, when we people encourage them more..they find it as a tactics. Sales is business but what I ask them is do your work, but to the right people. Find out the right people rather than dialing numbers randomly and therby making sales. One main reason, I would say his there are old people at home who are sick. When telephone ringing all day, it disturb them more. Well said Chinchoy, thats the final way we can stop these annoyed calls.

Hi Kirinx, Yes thats a good idea. But Sometimes I get unknown calls says with number not displayed. This worries me if it is from my cousins abroad as they use to call me online. So I often get confused whether to pick up call or not.

Thats a good one. I rather scream at them, sometimes plead them not to call. Will try that way here after.

Not only busy weekends, I’m annoyed by such marketing calls any time of the day. Its so frustrating to rush to answer your mobile only to find its some trash call which you don’t want at all. It happens all the time…either the mobile company is calling up for latest caller tunes and other services or some credit card company is calling up or some insurance agent is trying to sell some policy. And yes, no matter how many times you tell them not to send such calls, it all falls on deaf ears.

Hi Sudipta, Yeah it happens all days all time. Most frustating is when I have some emergency works at home. Yes almost all companies calling home is what wondering me, telephone, banks, products and all services. You know even we can tolerate these calls, but I have my elderly parents at home. When I am out, they are the ones who get bothered with these calls.

May be you guys must be accidentally subscribing the issues concerned with that marketing people.. So I think its better to take things direct to the marketing people. Tell them not to call you or any other persons who don't really make the people go crazy. I think this will solve your problem with no effort. Thanks.

Hi Bittudavis, You are right. Rather than believing telecom companies, its better to plead the marketing people to stop calling us. But some people readily accept that and still I get calls from same companies over and over. I can better note these companies and ask them politely to save their time as well as my time. Will try that idea.

well i usually do not entertain them. And sometimes they will trick you on calling about something important. well the examples that they did are: telemarketer: i am calling because of an important notice about (name)'s calling card I am a little smart about it now so when they say this question i usually ask if what kind of important notice. If they don't want to answer i usually hangup the phone.

well i really don't try to stress myself too much on all aspects of life. that is my goal now haha. there's always the end call button anyway just now i received another telemarketer, i answered because she is quite polite and understanding so i guess not all of them are absurd.

You are pretty cool, even am trying to develop it. . Yeah true not all are absurd, but I feel I receive bit annoying calls only weekends where I miss spending the rest of the day rather than on phone. Will sure pick up your idea to identify and make use of end button often.

Hi oojopakoo, Yes they are tricky and smart, but it doesnot catch us any way. Rather than that it makes us lose our temper. I try to hangup without answer, but I would always pick up phone with an idea, that its an important call, but end up with screaming

I usually don't receive these calls probably because I'm still a student. But I do receive other overseas calls from unknown people and most probably it's a scam so what I do is just press the reject button on my cell phone and leave it.

They really are annoying. Plus, they would try very hard to ensure you listen to end, which were very long speech with complete details of everything and refused to stop even though you're hinting that you're not interested to continue the conversation. Once, I did plainly said I wasn't interested in one call from a life insurance company before she finished describing the whole scheme and she rudely responded, "So you don't mind if you meet an accident today and not insured?" What??? I'll get one if I what one. Stop being a big mouth or physic. You don't even know your fate. Still, that didn't stop the other calls from coming.

OMG prinzcy, thats horrible. I hate those insurance companies, they talk such ways to get us convert, but its so rudeand they don't really care for us ,just wanted to get a business. Sometimes my grandparents take up the call, such answers I cannot digest how much will it affect the minds of elderly people.

Wow, you answer those? It's harassment, plain and simple. Your right, people have things to do and it's rediculous. I'm tired of them as well.

Hi Kiax, I really dont want to answer, but I do attend the calls. One reason is I dont want to miss any emergency calls from family or friends. So I pick up and when I realise its an sales or annoying call. I would say not interested and hang up. Yeah Kiax on a busy day, it makes real tired and make me lose my patience.
