It's not worth it to pay for referrals

I knew this before and I've never paid for referrals but I decided to sign up for the Hits4Pay affiliate builder program in January to see what what happen. It's $5.99 a month. I got 12 referrals from it out of 268 visits from my referral link. Since February I have earned .59 cents from referrals and I'm not even sure they came from the affiliate builder it could have come from my earlier referrals. At any rate they aren't active. I know this is the case with referrals anyway. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. I don't rely on referrals to make my money for me. They are nice to have but they are useless if they aren't active this is why I don't pay for referrals because it's not worth it. I just wanted to try it out and see what happened and it confirmed what I already knew. To those of you who buy referrals or thinking about buying them save your money. I'd rather stick to free ways of getting referrals.

I'd never bought referral before because I always thought it was a waste of money but who knows it works for some people.

I usually don't pay for referrals because they are either bots or spam accounts.

Never thought about that. I just thought they were lazy for signing up for sites and never do it.

there are some legitimate people who signup but just got bored but there are some sites that sells referrals that is either bots or spam accounts. I used before some sort of "be active and have real referrals" sort of thing and they are mostly inactive.

Yes, trying to spend any money on referrals...well even when I was a newbie and not really all that familiar with the online learning game, I thought it was rather dubious. Now, I just think its just an absolute fool's gambit to say the least. The fact is, you can rent referrals or buy them or whatever, but its just very short time, with miniature profits. After a while, the profits become nonexistent and then you are struggling just to break even, if at that. I just tend to throw my referral links up somewhere. If someone takes the bait and signs up, then they are good to go. If they are not going to sign up, fine. If they do sign up and then lose interest, whatever, at least there is no money that comes out of my pocket. It is just too much of a longshot, with little or no return. I learned this fact a long time ago and now its becoming something that is extremely apparent the longer I'm online.

Thank you for the advice. It is great to know that someone is helping others by giving them useful information on sites like that.

There are free ways to get referrals and that's what you should focus on.

well free ways are always better than paid i spread my links where ever i can and only try to get direct referrals they are the best as we don't have to spend money on them but we have to work on spreading our links here and there first i used to rent referrals but now i have totally quit that and just rely on direct ones

Possible reason why it didn't work out for you is because Hits4Pay accepts international members. However non-US members don't get paid emails at all. I reactivated my Hits4Pay account 2 months ago and until yesterday (when I closed my account), I have not received a single email at all. So, the site doesn't work out for me since I'm not in the US. So, if the referrals you're getting are non-US members, then, that's the reason why they're inactive.
