How can I help my Friend???

My friends wife left her marital home for her paternal home on the pretext of torture. Then she filed a case under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and also sought maintenance. Subsequently my friend was acquitted in the 498A case.
How can he avoid paying her Maintenance???

Unfortunately, if she never had employment of her own. He will have to pay her maintenance of some sort. He may not have to pay a lot or for a long time but he will have to pay. That's the issue for the sole supporter of the family. I would definitely seek legal advice on this manner. Best Wishes!

i have a simple advice to you, try asking a lawyer, here in the philippines, we have free legal counseling, i am pretty sure that your country has it too. i think you better as the legal experts
