Spring is all around us which brings calmness and inner happiness for us which is our most important need right now. I was thinking, "Can we set a goal for ourselves to protect our nature?". We plant trees in the spring all over the world but mostly efforts always are sponsored by some kind of organizations or Institutes. There are very little number of those peoples who are self motivated. So I am looking for motivational Ideas for the community and especially for youngsters who are in big numbers of the world population to involve them in the activity of protecting our nature by plating trees, flowers and create awareness among them to fall in love with nature. Please bring your ideas in this topic so we all can learn together to set an goal for ourselves as well.

Hi islooboy Great that you came up with this. I will vouch for making it compulsory - One day per week (working days of course) - every school student, and office employee travels by public transport as a rule. This will keep the emissions from the so many personal vehicles away. Be it a Saturday or any day of the week, there are no personal vehicles on the road. Everyone, uses only the Public Transport.

Sid your Idea is very promising and its near to Chinese Idea in which every single person of the China work one day in the fields. So I think this idea is workable but without Government support its not doable which means we will be looking towards government for it. I want to bring change in mindsets of the people of our world so they voluntarily work for nature for one day in a week or in a month with the dignity. Also they must believe that working for nature is part of there duty.

When I was woking I had proposed this idea and I am thankful that the management did accept it and also implement it. They hired a vehicle every saturday (as it as a small office and we had only 15 people, a mini bus) and we used to get picked up and dropped by this vehicle. I think we all should be concerned and should not wait for the Government (which practically does nothing except holding meetings, or even committies to find out what can be done). It is a small thing that we all can do starting with our offices where we work.
