Do you invest in the stock market?

How many of you invest in stocks/shares/equities funds? How much do you invest each month/year and do you have any good stock tips or predictions for the future direction of different global equity markets?

yes your correct it is hard to do and waste of money

Why do you think it's a waste of money? I've made real gains through investing in equities funds. If you do your research and invest for the long-term rather than investing for just a day or two you can make money.

no i don't invest because they are risk and many are scam it's waste to invest money in online websites thank you

I think you misunderstood my question. I'm not talking about investing in online websites. I'm talking about investing in equities/stocks of corporations or index-tracker funds of the Dow Jones or FTSE. I agree that investing money in online websites is often a scam, but I'm talking about investing in equities. Quite different from what you are suggesting.

I do invest a little on stock and gold, however I am not the expert. I asked a friend who is a financial adviser to some companies and I go with whatever he says...

Of course I do. But not actively. Stock market investment should be done with long term horizon of 3 years or beyond. But day trading in stock market is too dangerous. Selecting good stocks for investment are also equally important.

I do invest in companies that offer a dividend and have been around for more than 10 years with a solid balance sheet and good cash flow. If you do your research you can find companies that offer a dividend reinvestment. This is when you would re-invest the dividend instead of getting a check. This does take time since you invest over the long term and you have to be patient. Most of all you have to be consistent with the stock or mutual fund.
