My company has this P.R. thing, the 40 reasons _____ ( omited per Pr guidelines ) employees are the best posted all around & displayed on a big screen in the break room. You'd expect to hear things like they're smart, creative, hard working, loyal, etc . Instead what's the # 2 reason?
They look good in hats!
WOW, the #2 reason your employees are the best is that they look good in hats!!! How is this company avoiding bankrupcy?
They probably paid some advertising agency to come up with this, & this is what they got, they look good in hats!!!
Well here's the hat.
I personally find it somewhat offensive & as you go down the list it doesn't get much better.
Does your company have such silly P.R. campaigns?

I see that you are jealous because you do not look good in hat
.
What about a crested helmet
?
I stop now : I agree, it is a stupid campaign. A French writer said "How is it that kids are so smart, and most men are blockheads ? This must be due to education."
I remember a campaign in a place where I worked "My employees are talented." They wanted to take photos of employees for it, but nobody wanted to be on the photo and they got them in a photo agency

Actually I do look good in this hat....I was wearing the military baseball hat a year before it ever became trendy & a fur & leather hat during the winter before that became trendy too But that shouldn't be the #2 reason I'm the best employee. If I were in sales & was buying the stuff I'm wearing & getting it out to the stores BEFORE the trend started that would be different, but I'm not in sales!
Hmmmmm...Maybe I should be.

There's a lot of stuff like this that companies don't take seriously. They want to boost morale and get more work out of people but they want to do it in a way that's funny.
What ever happened to the time when your employer was the place you worked and you didn't expect them to be "family" or a "friend"? I don't want another family, I have one already! My boss is my boss (or was, when I had one) and I expected an impersonal, professional relationship. I was doing a good job and knew he/she valued me if I wasn't fired and I got a few raises.
Why does everyone expect so much of every aspect of their lives?! Can't a job just be a job without it having to massage a worker's ego? Do you get what I mean?

HaHa! That is funny! And sad too of course! But funny nonetheless. It is sad that a company's workers can only come up with the hat being the reason they are good at what they do. If I were in management I would be looking at doing some major renovating!
