Just wanted to know how many people remember this and what are your thoughts ?
Personally i am trying to figure out why i made such a fuss in school trying to remember the date of the first space flight for quiz competitions and the like. No real value added in my life

The conquer of space is amazing and moving for me. Maybe we don´t quite understand all of its meaning, but many good things we do know have come out of this.
As for dates, I agree. It´s more important the event than the exact date. School love children to learn dates but it is a way of measuring whether they studied
